HomeKit and me

As some of you are aware I have been working on an Internet of Things device. What most of you are not aware of is what my devices do. Last post I briefly mentioned the devices and my plans for the future, but I did not mention the functions of the devices.

Cut to today, Apple at WWDC announced HomeKit, as the rest of the world is scrambling to come up with a unified home automation system I am already working on one.

These devices are for full home automation, all features mentioned in homekit (locks, security, lights, etc) are controlled in my system. Over the next few days when I get a chance I will be doing a proper writeup of the project and how it all works.

Suffice to say HomeKit is probably one piece of the puzzle I hadn't quite figured out yet and was writing a custom implementation for.
